Netflix Chooses Ideal Actor for Bon Clay in One Piece Upcoming Installment
Baroque Works is set to play a huge role in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, although the true confrontation won’t take place until the third season, and a beloved, fan-favorite member has now been chosen.
The platform declared recently that the talented performer has joined the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will play Bon Clay. This character has the ability to transform into an exact copy of anyone they’ve laid a hand on with their dominant hand. Escola, who is gender non-conforming and goes by they/them, will portray a interpretation of that role reinterpreted as gender non-binary, rather than as a drag queen, in the real-life adaptation, unlike the source material and anime.
The new cast member will work alongside several other recently announced actors tasked with bringing Baroque Works to the screen, featuring head the main antagonist, portrayed by the well-known actor, an emerging star as Miss Goldenweek, and a familiar face, who is also part of the lineup as the ruler of the desert kingdom.
Though this character is a major member of the organization, the character will be introduced in One Piece the third season. Considering the second season likely to portray the Little Garden segment, this signals a major departure in the schedule of the character’s debut, one that could signal additional alterations to the story’s structure.
The actor’s combination of sharp comedic timing and profound feeling makes them a perfect fit for the character.
