Wilfried Nancy declared he was not afraid of the sack, maintaining, “We are really close to changing our fortunes,” even after sliding worryingly close to the chopping block with a heavy loss to their arch-rivals.

He remains focused on the fact his team can perform strongly for one half at a time. Indeed, were it not for missed chances they would have been better than 1-0 up. “I saw enough except the fact that we haven’t scored more goals,” he said. “I acknowledge that we lost, but I must remain balanced.
“The performance we had at certain moments was of top quality. That happened. I could not talk like that if it was not the case. That is the reason, regarding outcomes, I said this is the same story. Which is why I feel a change is coming to things turning around. Right now: the fine margins.”
“I saw plenty of positives that we did, as was the case today. The issue now comes down to performing for 90 minutes. My narrative would not be if it was not the case. This is why I firmly believe we’re going to be able to get back on track.”
The Rangers Boss Stance
Danny Röhl was cautious about a championship push even after what appeared to be a statement victory. “Step by step, and we can gradually build something here,” he said. “The confidence in the squad is outstanding.”
